Night of Light 2020
SYMA shows solidarity
Monday 22nd June between 10.00 pm and midnight we bathed one of our company buildings in Kirchberg in red light and thus became part of the NIGHT OF LIGHT campaign. Moaning and lamenting is not one of our strengths. But we would like to bring to the attention of the general public and politicians to the dramatic situation of the event and cultural landscape. All sectors of this branch are united in their fight as an overarching interest and working group.
Dark red alert in the event industry:
thousands of jobs are in danger
Almost every day new cancellations of events, trade fairs, concerts, shows, congresses, symposia and sporting events are coming in. The trade fair and event industry is suffering and the current figures support this.
It is an outbreak that is causing an unprecedented slump in the events industry. An industry, by the way, that generally boosts the economy, that puts innovations in the spotlight, that stages the most varied information, news and opportunities in such a way that they are understood by the public. And last but not least, it is also an industry that arouses many positive emotions every day. Now things look bleak for everyone involved, which is why three associations of professional groups from the event industry are now joining forces to throw out the lifeline in a targeted manner and linked with expectations.
